The way to detox are many, with varying results, but most start with a simple fast or a fruit day, in which all that you have to eat are fruits.

The other variously used therapies include fasting, specific diets, vitamin therapy, colon therapy, hyperthermia and chelation therapy.

Fasting is easily the most easily attemptable and the least expensive of all diet plans. It is also self administrable and is thus easily done at home without any supervision, but it is recommended that it should be done only after consulting your doctor. It is generally for a limited number of days and can be regulated as per convenience.

Water has to be consumed during fasting, this is to flush out toxins out of the body and thus give it a chance to recuperate. Most fasting also allow juice to be consumed for essential minerals and vitamins. The main reason for fasts are fewer toxins are taken in so that the ones already present are rid.

Some of the Proponents of diets claim that the strongest immune system is based on a plant diet. It is believed that the plant diet is the safest way to immunize against toxins of the environment and thus stay safe and healthy. These diet plans can be for an unlimited amount of days.

These plant diets propound that the organic food is better than synthetic food and lay emphasis on vegetarianism saying that the best foods in nature can counter whatever toxins are in the body, and if vegetarianism is the way then we will have better health and immune systems than present.
