Eight seconds key to weight loss!!!!

Scientists in Australia have devised a workout that has been tested to burn three times the fat. Compared to traditional workouts and your every-day gym schedules the new workout is already being seen as a revolutionary new weight loss technique.

While conducting regular tests and experiments the scientists found that given regular intervals a particular type of interval training gets our body into a state of metabolic response which allows for burning of more fat under the skin and in the muscles.

The study was conducted over a period of 15 weeks by a combined team of researchers from the University of NSW and the Garvan Institute. 45 overweight (not obese) women were studied under the program while they were put through a systematic schedule that consisted of 20 minute cycling on a stationary bike. During the sprint they had to sprint for eight seconds and then follow it up with light cycling of 12 seconds and then repeat.

“They lost three times more weight as other women who exercised at a continuous, regular pace for 40 minutes,” UNSW Associate Professor Steve Boutcher said.

According to the scientists, this rule shall apply to swimming, walking, running and rowing as well as the body goes through similar exercise.

According to professor Boutcher all the other interval trainings use longer interludes do not result into as  effective metabolic response as this new method gives and are therefore more or less ineffective.

“Walking for 60 minutes, seven times a week does not result in much fat loss, usually 1.15kg over 15 weeks – for a lot of overweight people this is going to be a revolution,” he said.
