Get Six Pack Abs – How to Ruin it With Low-Calorie Diets

Low calorie diets aren't exactly the best way to go if you want to lose a few extra pounds or build muscle. Allow me to share with you 6 main reasons why your low calorie diet isn't working, and how it can actually stand in the way of you getting six pack abs:

1. Low Calorie Plans Could Lead to the Loss of Lean Muscle and the Decrease of Your Metabolism.

Sure, in the beginning it would seem that you're losing unwanted fat really fast. After several weeks into the program, however, you'll soon realize that you're actually losing lean muscle, too. Last time I checked, you need to build your muscles for you to get six pack abs, not lose them.

Aside from losing muscle mass, studies have shown that you also get a decrease in your metabolism when you purely stick to low calorie diets. If you think about it, losing lean muscle can only make you reduce your metabolic rate, making it even harder to get rid of excess fat.

2. Low Calorie Diets Won't Get Your Body in Excellent Shape.

As your metabolic rate slows down during your low calorie diet, your body won't start sculpting muscles. You might lose a few pounds of fat, that's true, but it would prove to be really tough to get six pack abs at the rate you're going. You're actually shrinking into a smaller version of you instead of becoming more toned. Since you're losing muscle mass, there's just no muscle left to define. Do you really think that would get you the body you've always dreamed of?

3. Low Calorie Programs Will Only Increase Your Appetite.

I find this the most difficult issue to deal with. Low calorie diets aren't just very limiting; they also pull you back until you're ready to snatch the first glistening donut you see. When you're at your weakest point, you'll start craving for delectably unhealthy food, and you destroy whatever you've worked hard for so far. That's really not hard to imagine, especially when you've got all these sinful sweets tempting you, day in and day out. When you give in to your cravings just as your metabolism plummets, all the fat you initially lost will just come right back.

4. Low Calorie Diets Can Even Cause Fat Storage.

Bear in mind than no one or nothing else knows what's best for your body than your own body itself. It isn't well-versed with specific diet plans; it only understands how it should function as a whole. The principal function of your body is its instinct to SURVIVE. When your calorie levels drop at an alarming rate, your body instinctively hangs on to whatever fat is left, causing your fat burning enzymes to slow down and making you resilient to burning any more fat.

5. Low Calorie Diets Don't Provide You With Adequate Energy.

When you're not getting enough calories, you're not getting proper nutrition, and that means your energy level is bound to decrease. That would explain why you feel more exhausted than usual. Think about how that will affect your workout performance ' nothing short of dreadful, I'm sure.

When your body isn't getting enough energy to effectively perform daily tasks and fitness routines, you're practically keeping yourself from reaching your six pack abs goal. You won't be able to perform your workouts well nor will you be able to step up on them. Do you honestly think that you can get six pack abs with such little energy? This confirms that you won't be able to build muscle with just dieting alone.

6. Low Calorie Diets Will Take a Toll on Your Looks.

After doing a low calorie diet for a while, do you think you can continue doing it? Even if you could, that would just be completely irresponsible. The body requires much attention and care, and low calorie diets just won't be enough. Eventually, your body is going to crash and you could find yourself right back where you started'or worse. Do you still think you can get six pack abs that way?

It's clear that a low calorie diet is certainly not the best way to get six pack abs. It's bad for your overall health, it doesn't do anything for muscle development, and it keeps your energy at a minimum. To get six pack abs, you need to follow a highly nutritional, well-balanced diet. Add that to a regular fitness program and there's really no stopping you.
